Catherine Jones

Catherine Jones, an award-winning cookbook author and food writer, graduated from La Varenne Culinary School in France and worked for the renowned chef, Jean-Louis Palladin. She worked in Jean-Louis' kitchen and developed the recipes for his book, Jean-Louis: Cooking with the Seasons. Jones's first book, A Year of Russian Feasts (Jellyroll Press, 2002), won ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Travel Essay Award and Writer's Digest Cookbook Award, and it was a finalist for the International Association of Culinary Professionals Julia Child Cookbook Award.

Jones's nutrition-health-cookbook, Eating for Pregnancy: An Essential Guide to Nutrition with Recipes for the Whole Family (Marlowe and Company, 2003) has received many accolades. Her latest book, Eating for Lower Cholesterol: A Balanced Approach to Heart Health with Recipes Everyone Will Love (Marlowe & Company, 2005) has been praised by Mehmet Oz, MD, author of the New York Times Bestseller, YOU: The User's Manual, as well as other MDs, nutritionists, and chefs.

Jones is the daughter of a retired diplomat and the wife of a Foreign Service Officer. She was born in New Delhi, India and has spent a large part of her life living abroad in East Berlin and West Berlin under a divided Germany, Jerusalem, Zaire, England, France, Russia, Macedonia, and Austria. Currently she is living in the Philippines with her family. When she is not overseas, Jones calls Bethesda, Maryland home. She is the mother of an nine-year-old daughter, Aleksandra, and a six-year-old son, Hale.

Elaine B. Trujillo, MS, RD, CNSD

Elaine B. Trujillo is a national leader in nutrition and a certified nutrition support dietitian. She worked for ten years at the Brigham and Women's Hospital (named one of the top ten hospitals in the country by U.S. News and World Report, 2004), Harvard Medical School, where she was the lead dietitian responsible for patient investigation in metabolic and nutrition studies and was the editor of a newsletter and a reviewer of several national nutrition journals. She has contributed to numerous publications and has lectured nationally and internationally. Currently, she is at  the National Cancer Institute, the National Institutes of Health, and at the Cardiac Rehabilitation and EECP Center, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland. She is the mother of a twelve-year-old son and a ten-year-old daughter. Trujillo and her family live in Rockville, Maryland.

Rose Ann Hudson, RD, LD

Rose Ann Hudson, RD, LD, a perinatal nutritionist, served on the staff of Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, D.C. for twelve years. She has been on the staff of Fairfax Inova Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia for seven years, and she has a private practice. She is the mother of two daughters, ages fifteen and thirteen. Hudson and her family live in Rockville, Maryland.
